DOGS AND CATS FROM SWEDEN TO SPAIN FROM MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, FOOD AND
FISHERIES ZOOSANITARY RULES GOVERNING IMPORTATION OF PET ANIMALS INTO SPAIN.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
1° The animals will be accompanied by the owners o their representatives duly authorized. 2° By means of written certification must be justified that animals have been kept under owners supervision for three months. It must be guaranteed that animals are not intended for trade as well as to accept the necessary checks to be carried out by the Spanish Veterinary Services at the consigned adress/es, in accordance with the rules regarding animal health in force. 3° Translation of the certificate into the spanish language must be included.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS DOGS AND CATS Dogs and cats will be covered by a health certificate drawn up by an official veterinarian of the country of origin, stating: a) Identification and origin of the animal/s. b) Have been examined before leaving the country and show no clinical sign of disease. c) Have been vaccinated against rabies with an interval of between 1 and 12 moths, prior to their entrance into Spain. Particulars vaccination such as: origin, date of vaccination, type and name of the vaccine, manufacturer laboratory, name and adress of the veterinarian responsible for the vaccination, must be included in the certificate. d) This certificate is valid for 10 days and the antirrabic vaccination certificate for a year from the date of issue. Vaccination for animals under 3 months it is not compulsory. e) Animals coming into Spain must be accompanied necessarily by an antirrabic vaccination certificate or the correspondent health documentation bearing that animals have undergone such vaccination. ________________________________________________________________________ The Swedish guideline policies differing
